Mattie’s Strudel Haus
AUTHENTIC HUNGARIAN STRETCHED STRUDEL
Dear valued customers,
With a heavy heart, Mattie’s Strudel Haus at the Bath location closed on August 15th, 2025. We will continue to attend Farmers Markets, Events, and Host Sip & Stretch classes.
*We will update you in another email blast on our continuation and plan of making strudels at another location if able.
Today, we're reflecting on the incredible journey that brought us to where we are now. Our business began with humble roots in Nazareth, and the path to our dream brick-and-mortar has been anything but smooth. From unforeseen setbacks, legal battles, and even a car crashing through our window in Bath (yes, really!), we've faced it all.
To our incredible community and loyal customers who stood by us through every challenge – from our early days, through the Bushkill hurdles, and the two-year renovation saga in Bath – your belief in us fueled our fight. We couldn't have done it without you.
This isn't just a business; it's a testament to perseverance, passion, and the power of community. Thank you for making our vision a reality for the last 9 years.
Because of you and your love for our strudels we persevered. We excelled in exceptional customer service, created a diverse multi-cultural quality menu always using fresh ingredients from local farms. A huge Thank you to Twin Maple Farms and Bechdolts Orchard for fresh fruits and vegetables. Our Farmers Market presence in Easton, Saucon Valley, and Northampton was an honor to be amongst a community of talented fellow vendors and cherished customers.
We found our dedicated, small business family here!
Serving our frozen, hand stretched Hungarian strudels has been an absolute joy and a labor of love. We’ve poured our hearts into every flaky, delicious bite, and your support, loyalty, and kind words have meant the world to us!
****We will continue to host SIP & STRETCH classes once a month on Mondays at Soaked Winery (567 Blue Mountain Dr, Walnutport, PA 18088) from 7-8:30.
Join us for an evening of learning the art of dough stretching. Learn how to make your strudels the old-fashioned way!

Step 4: Remove strudel from oven and let cool for 10 minutes.
Step 5: Cut strudel with serrated knife.
Step 6: For sweet strudels, sprinkle with powdered sugar and enjoy with whipped cream, vanila sauce, or ice cream (not included).
For extra crispiness, once your strudel is done baking you can either broil it to your liking.
